Marking a great cricket milestone for Nepal, skipper Paras Khadka became the country’s first batsman and cricket team captain to score a T20I century on September 28, 2019 in the match against Singapore.
Paras Khadka’s ‘unbeaten 100’ helped his team win the second match of the Singapore Tri-nation T20I series by a big margin of nine wickets. He scored a total of 106 runs from 52 deliveries, including seven fours and nine sixes.
While Singapore set a target of 152 from all overs for the Nepali side, the latter managed to finish the match with 154 runs in just 16 overs with support from Khadka.
Khadka’s contribution to the match also makes him the fourth-fast Asian cricketer to score a T20I-hundred.
Additionally, Khadka and Aarif Sheikh’s 145-run partnership became the fifth-highest partnership for the second wicket. Sheikh scored a total of 39 runs from 38 deliveries.
On the other hand, Singapore skipper Tim David became the top scorer in the team with an unbeaten 64 runs.
