Three teams, namely Bagmati, Narayani, and Rapati, will compete in the tournament.



2020 Gautam Buddha Cricket Tournament to Begin This Saturday!

The 2020 edition of the Gautam Buddha Cup Cricket Tournament will commence this Saturday, i.e., December 12, 2020.

The tournament, organized by Bagmati Province Cricket Association, will be held at Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium at Rampur in Bharatpur metropolitan city. The matches will be held in the model ground of the under-construction stadium.

According to the organizer, three teams, namely Bagmati, Narayani, and Rapati, will participate in the tournament. Team Bagmati will be led by national team captain Gyanendra Malla and Team Narayani by former captain Paras Khadka. Cricketer Binod Bhandari will lead Team Rapati.


Gautam Buddha Cup 2020 Match Fixtures:

  • December 12, 2020: Bagmati Vs Narayani
  • December 13, 2020: Bagmati Vs Rapati
  • December 14, 2020: Rapati Vs Narayani

The grand finale of the tournament is scheduled for December 15, 2020.

Gautam Buddha Stadium Nepal

The Chitwan Cricket Association is the coordinator of the tournament. The Cricket Association of Nepal will provide technical support, while the Bagmati Province Sports Development Committee and Bharatpur Metropolitan City will provide financial support.

The tournament is being organized to promote the new stadium and revive cricket activities, which have been banned amid the pandemic.
