Nepal won over Bhutan in the ACC U-19 cricket match held in Malaysia, today.
By defeating Bhutan with 9 wickets, the Nepali U-19 cricket team registered its second victory in the ACC U-19 Eastern Region cricket tournament.
Bhutan won the toss to bat, however, the team’s batting order couldn’t obstruct the striking performance of Nepali bowlers. While Nepali Skipper Dipendra Singh Airee took 5 wickets, Sandip Lamichhane alone took 4 wickets leaving 1 for Nandan Yadav.
Finally, Bhutan team could set a score target of 51 runs with only two of its batsmen making double-digit score.
The Nepali team managed to finish the set target of 51 runs in just 8.3 overs by losing only 1 wicket. Asif Sheikh remained not out at 23 and Sandip Sunar scored 21 runs.
With this victory, the Nepali U-19 team won entry into semi-final match of the tournament.
