Eight cricketers from Nepal have registered their names to participate in the Player Auction for the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL).
The IPL 2021 player registration was closed on February 4, 2021, and the auction will take place in Chennai on February 18, 2021.
According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the eight players are as follows:
Leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, who had played for the Delhi Capitals for three seasons, is now released by the franchise and is free to join any franchise in the tournament.
A total of 1097 cricketers (814 Indian and 283 overseas players) have registered for the auction. They include 207 capped, 863 uncapped, and 27 associate players.
