Nepal is in dire straits as the second wave wreaks havoc across the country. For the fifteenth consecutive day, the Himalayan country has reported over 8,000 new COVID-19 cases. And the situation is worse on the ground as people are struggling to find hospital beds, oxygen, and medicine.

Lately, Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has launched a COVID-19 fundraising campaign by providing NPR 300,000 on his behalf.
Leg spinner Lamichhane initiated the campaign through Twitter with the hashtag “Team Sandeep Lamichhane.” In the tweet, he mentioned his bank account and appealed all to make contributions to the fund.
