A policy research NGO, Daayitwa, conducted a training session for mayors, deputy mayors, chairman, vice-chairman, and other senior administration officials on economic governance and leadership.
The session encompassed administration officials of 11 municipalities spanning over 5 provinces of Nepal. The NGO stated that this training session was conducted as part of Daayitwa Nepal Public Administration Fellowship 2021.
Under this program, 15 NGO officials are working with 11 municipalities for three months. They will be indulging in the areas spanning from research to formulation of local policies and programs.
The session, which was day-long, was conducted on Friday. The session is aimed at bolstering leadership at a local level.
It additionally addressed how to deal with the issues pertaining to public administration and municipality governance.
