Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli extended his heartfelt greetings to Nepalis home and abroad on the occasion of Dashain 2019.
Oli hoped that the festival of Dashain inspires Nepali to support the Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.
Taking to social media platform Twitter Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli wrote,
“We are now striving for prosperity after the campaign of political rights came to an end. Therefore, I urge one and all to develop this society a civilized, peaceful and friendlier along with prosperity.”
He urged the Nepali community to celebrate Dashain with friendship and fraternity since it is a festival of unity and togetherness.
Oli also called on peaceful celebrations of the festival and said that social harmony and peace should be preserved while celebrating Dashain.
The Nepali Prime Minister urged people to get rid of unethical and unreasonable customs. “On this pious occasion, I request all the people to root out obsolete evils,” said Oli.
“Let’s celebrate this festival with fanfare. May this festival strengthen good relations among people. At the same time, we should shallow bone according to our throat,” he added.
PM Oli also participated in the greetings exchange ceremony in his hometown Jhapa on October 07, 2019.
On the festival day, he offered Dashain Tika to party-cadres, well-wishers and the general public.
President Bhandari also offered Tika and jamara to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at her residence Sheetal Niwas on Dashain.
She also offered Tika to National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Timalsina, Chief Justice Cholendra Sumsher Rana, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leaders, cabinet ministers and other high-ranking government officials.
