Gandaki State Government has appointed Singer Prakash Saput as a goodwill ambassador for Visit Nepal Year (VNY) 2020 campaign.
Prithvi Subba Gurung, the Chief Minister of Gandaki State, has presented the certificate of goodwill ambassador to the father of Saput, Bal Bahadur BK, as Saput is in Japan for musical performance.
The certificate was presented during VNY 2020 inaugural ceremony on January 1, 2019.
Meanwhile, Saput exclaimed that being a goodwill ambassador of VNY 2020 is a great accomplishment for him.
Along with Saput, the Government has also appointed mountaineer Nirmal Purja of Myagdi as a goodwill ambassador of VNY 2020.
The goodwill ambassadors were appointed for the promotion of Nepal tourism during 2020.
The Nepali Government has started Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign with an aim to attract 2 million visitors during the year.
