Home Minister Applauds Security Personnel for Xi’s Successful Visit and Stay

Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit and stay in Nepal was a grand success. Following his departure to China, Nepal Home Affairs Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa thanked the personnel deployed for the security of the Chinese President.

Speaking to the respective security personnel at the Home Ministry on October 14, 2019, Thapa said that the security plan for Xi’s visit was effective and sent out a global message that Nepal’s security is capable of handling high-profile delegation.

“Chinese President’s visit to Nepal turned to be successful due to dedicated and responsible involvement of security personnel from the policymaking level to security arrangement on the street,” Thapa praised.

In the meeting, Minister Thapa also told members that the Chinese side had praised the security arrangements made by Nepali security personnel.

Secretary at Home Ministry Prem Kumar Rai also thanked and congratulated all the personnel for the full-proof security management. He added that experience would help to better manage such tasks in the future.

Acting Inspector General of Nepal Police Karki, Chief of Investigation Department Ganesh Adhikari,  Inspector General of Armed Police Force Shailendra Khanal, Major General of Nepal Army Sashichandra Bahadur Singh were among the security personnel that attended the meeting at the Home Ministry.
