Calling all Harry Potter fans!
The Children’s Art Museum (CAM) Nepal is organizing the second edition of Hogwarts Express!
This annual Harry Potter theme fundraising event will be held on December 22, 2018, between 12 PM to 7 PM at Godavari Alumni Association Hall, Thamel, Kathmandu.
Harry Potter is the world’s most-loved wizard and that’s why CAM decided to theme their event after him.
“We have huge Harry Potter nerds who grew up reading and watching the series. “Harry Potter is such a classic thing for all ages. It is fantastical and creative, and there is so much to get out of it. It’s indulgent enough to make a great festival out of it,” said Priyankana Bastola, Program Coordinator at CAM.
The event will include various paid/free games and activities allowing participants to create their own wands, make portions with glittery formulae and make charms like bracelets.
Bastola says that even though the program is centered around kids, everyone is welcome to join this fun-loving event.
Hogwarts Express also presents opportunities for adult Harry Potter fans with ‘The Biggest Harry Potter Fan’ and Tri-Wizard Trivia Tournament— an event where teams will compete against each other to answer questions from Harry Potter books and movies.
Different rounds in the competition will utilize mediums such as audio and pictures. Sponsors will present winners with a trophy and gift hampers. We already have 15 teams with three or four people each registered for the trivia so far,” revealed Bastola.
Enthusiastic fans have already started enquiring details on CAM’s Facebook page and from official ticket sellers.
“Even some Nepali actors are sharing our posts on social media and people communicate with us frequently regarding the event,” said Bastola.
Tickets to the event are priced at NPR 250 and are available at CAM Nepal, Flat Iron Grill, GAA Hall, Little Things, and the Local Project.
Attendee Tip: Arrive at the event venue at least one hour early to enjoy the event to the fullest.
The Children’s Art Museum Nepal was established in 2013 and has been maintaining a creative environment for children and youth to express themselves creatively and achieve artistic education.
