Nepali Province-2 Launches ‘Girls in Tech’ Project

The Province-2 Government has launched ‘Girls in Tech’ project during a program at Monastic college, Janakpur on January 29, 2020.

Chief Minister of Province-2 Lalbabu Raut and Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Affair Rameshwor Ray Yadav have participated in the inaugural ceremony.

The objectives of the project include:

 
  • Educating and empowering girls to curb gender discrimination
  • Leadership training for girls to build their confidence and competitiveness
  • Creating employment opportunities for skilled students
  • Providing scholarships for 100 students from low socio-economic background

The girls with graduation level education will be the first beneficiaries of the project.

During the event, CM Raut said that the State Government is taking necessary steps to convert Province-2 into a ‘Technical Education Hub’ by producing required human resources.
