Nepal Reports 80 New COVID-19 Cases in Last 24 Hrs, Tally at 402

So far, Nepal has reported 402 coronavirus infection cases and 2 death cases. However, 36 patients were discharged after recovery.

As of today, the global coronavirus positive cases have reached 4,907,135 while the death toll has climbed to 320,392.

Currently, there are 2,669,945 active cases with 2,625,174 in mild condition and 44,771 critical condition. Meanwhile, 1,916,798 patients were discharged.

 

COVID-19 in Nepal

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Nepal has reported 80 new COVID-19 positive cases in a single day on May 18, taking the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 402.

Meanwhile, Karnali Province has reported the first COVID-19 case in the state on Monday after about four months of the first case in the country.

  • Total Swab Tested:30,741

A total of 4,389 suspects were tested for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

So far, the Nepali Government has conducted coronavirus tests on 100,292 suspects, 30,723 tests through the PCR method and 69,560 through the RDT method.

A total of 405 people are added to the red-zone list while 412 are in isolation.
