Nepal’s COVID-19 Tally Rises as 391 New Cases Registered

Nepal’s health ministry has stated that Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally has touched 898,399 as 391 new cases were detected in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, 6,966 individuals were tested for the virus by testing their swab samples using the RT-PCR method, of which 385 samples were found to be viral. Additionally, 1,111 people were tested for the virus using the antigen method, of which 6 individuals tested the COVID-19 virus.

PCR testing accumulated 5.52 positivity percent with the current data, and antigen testing amassed 0.54 positivity percent. The overall per-day positivity reached 4.84. positivity percent.

 

Covid Test

Currently, Nepal has 12,297 active infections, and 1,019 are hospitalized. 299 people are fighting this infection in ICUs, and 98 infected individuals are on ventilators. While 6 people succumbed to the infection, 680 individuals have purged the virus.

Until now, 781,456 people have successfully recovered, and 11,284 have lost their lives due to the virus. Nepal’s recovery rate is 97.07 percent, and COVID-19 induced mortality is at 1.4 percent.
