Nepal Reports 3 New COVID-19 Cases, Tally Reaches 102

In the last 24 hours, the Nepali Government has reported 3 new coronavirus infection cases, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 102.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), two patients are from Kapilvastu district and one from Nepalgunj.

Nepalgunj continues to be the COVID-19 hotspot with the highest number of coronavirus cases in Nepal. So far, Nepalgunj has reported 24 coronavirus positive cases and zero recoveries.

In the wake of a sudden surge in coronavirus cases, the government has mobilized teams from the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division and Nepal Army in the hot spots including Nepalgunj, Birgunj and Udayapur.

Meanwhile, 8 were discharged today, taking the total recoveries to 30.

So far, the Nepali Government has tested 70,023 people for coronavirus, 15,492 through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and 54,531 through Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT).
