Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to inaugurate the third Himalayan Travel Mart – Nepal’s premier international travel and tourism trade show on June 06, 2019.
The four day-event is being organized with the aim to position Nepal as the ‘Gateway to the Himalayas’ and will witness the participation of over 700 delegates from 41 countries. Besides, there will also be over 140 international & national guests and delegates, informed the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) – Nepal Chapter.
Around 38 international travel bloggers, influencers and media delegates will also be part of the event.
“Himalayan Tourism Mart has created an unparalleled platform not only for the Himalayan Tourism Industry but also for the global tourism fraternity, who have set their eyes and value the importance of this unique event,” said Sunil Shakya, PATA – Nepal chapter President.
“Our priority and focus on HTM this year is to add value to all the stakeholders in terms of insightful conference, nation’s tourism promotion, networking and mutually fruitful business opportunities between the registered sellers and hosted buyers,” Shakya added.
Speaking at the press conference, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) CEO Deepak Raj Joshi said that the Himalayan Travel Mart set a good example of public-private partnership in the last two years with its success and effectiveness in the last two years.
According to Pacific Asia Travel Association CEO, the event will also act as the launch pad for Nepal’s biggest tourism campaign ‘Visit Nepal 2020’.
“The event will be helpful in networking and making strategies to welcome 2 million tourists during Visit Nepal 2020,” he said.
As part of the event, organizers are planning to organize an international media briefing session where hundreds of national and international media, bloggers and influencers will get to know about the Visit Nepal 2020 campaign.
“We believe that it will be one of the best platforms for promoting the Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign,” said the organizers.
The Himalayan Travel Mart 2019, a business-to-business mart, will host 54 seller organizations from six countries – Nepal, Bhutan, China, India, Pakistan & Thailand and involve the participation of 58 buyer organizations from US, Australia, Asia, Europe, New Zealand, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Gulf region.
