June 8, 2017

Around 103 sprinters, including the legendary marathon runner Baikuntha Manandhar, have participated in The Global Running Day. This day is celebrated across the world every first Wednesday in June. Nepal Dynamic Running Club has organized this event. This club was appointed as an official supporter in Nepal by the New York Runners, the umbrella organization which created the Running Day in 2009. The secretary at the club, Sahadev Byanjankar has said that runner’s community is now a rapidly growing community in Nepal and it has become a platform where people can share their passion with fellow runners. He also said that the main the objective of the event is to inspire people, to make new friends, motivate people to lead healthy life and stay fit, and essentially to have fun.
