Daljit Sripaili, the former Minister for Youth and Sports, Keshab Kumar Bista, the National Sports Council Member Secretary, and Lama Tendi Sherpa, the Vice-president, laid the foundation stone of the sports hospital at the NSC premises.
The sports governing body’s 108th board meeting on June 3 came to a conclusion to build a 10-bed sports hospital at the cost of Rs 140 million. The hospital will be constructed within three years.
For Nepali sports and athletes, the moment of laying foundation stone for the sports hospital was a historic moment, said Sripaili.
Likewise, Sherpa requested the authorities to pay attention on having adequate facilities and professionals at the hospital.
NSC Member Secretary Bista said the hospital was being built for players and sports personalities.
