Nepal’s Dhankuta Municipality earns around Rs 3 million per annum from the garden, which was made by burying waste with soil at the Salleri forest area.
At a cost of Rs 40 million, a Garbage Management Center was set up over 30 ropani land at Salleri as a waste-management solution. The municipality residents annually pay around Rs 1.5 million as sanitation charge.
