First Country to Launch Snow Leopard Protection Plan

Nepal is the first country to present an action plan towards conservation of snow leopards.

Through its climate-smart snow leopard landscape management plan, the country stood ahead of other countries in safeguarding the endangered animals and its habitat.

This plan addresses key current and emerging threats (including climate change) to snow leopards and has set a model for other range countries.
