Nepal’s National Examination Board (NEB) has canceled the 2020 final examinations of Grade 11 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Nepali Government has said that the examinations cannot be held as the schools have remained closed and students need to maintain physical distancing to avoid the risk of coronavirus spread.
The National Curriculum Development and Assessment Council led by Education Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel decided to award grades to the class 11 students through the internal assessment.
However, the Board has not yet decided about the Grade 12 examinations.
Earlier on June 10, the Nepali Government has canceled the 2020 Secondary Education Examinations (SEE) and recognized the school’s assessment instead.
