The COVID-19 cases in Nepal nearly doubled in the last month, and given the rate of growth in this period, the count could cross 3000-mark by tomorrow.
The number of reported coronavirus cases in Nepal rose by over 200 cases daily since June 1 to climb over 2,900.
Today, the Nepali Government has recorded 278 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total tally to 2,912.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-boy died due to coronavirus infection in Surkhet on Thursday, taking the death tally to 11.

So far, the Nepali Government has tested around 88,366 samples through the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method. Among these, 4,232 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
However, 333 patients were discharged from various hospitals in the country after a successful recovery.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 166,765 people were in quarantine across the country currently.
