The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is all set to launch the Mars 2020 Perseverance Mission from Cape Canaveral in Florida on July 30.
In its 5th Mars Mission, NASA is launching the newest Mars rover, Perseverance, the car-sized robot, atop a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
The Perseverance is set to land on Mars at Jezero Crater on February 18, 2021. The rover will be accompanied by a helicopter called Ingenuity, the first powered flight on Mars.
Earlier on July 28, The ULA Atlas V 541 rocket with Perseverance was transported from ULA Vertical Integration Facility to Cape Canaveral’s Space Launch Complex 41 at speeds of 3 to 4 miles per hour.
