Nepal Wins Gold At International Open Karate and Kick Boxing Competition

In a victorious beginning for Nepal, the country struck gold at the International Open Karate and Kick Boxing competition being held in the Indian State of Bihar on April 23, 2019.

Nepal’s Rupa Rana won a gold medal at the opening game of Kata. India’s Anjali Kumari and Anita Kumari won silver and bronze, respectively.

221 sports persons from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal and Sri Lanka are participating in the international event.

 

This is not the only occasion when Nepal has proved its prowess in the field of Karate. Earlier in December 2018, Nepal won 20 gold medals and two silver medals for Karate at the Asia Cup 4th International Karate Championship 2018, also conducted in India.
