National Women’s Conference 2017

National Women Rights Forum (NWRF) Nepal, ActionAid International and Asmita Women’s Publishing House are jointly organizing the National Women Conference 2017 in Kathmandu.

The two-day conference, to be held during December 1-2, 2017, will focus on job creation for women in the areas where they are deprived of payments and necessary initiatives for the same, informed the organizers at a press conference held in the Kathmandu on November 28, 2017.

The event is expected to see the participation of around 250 housewives from 35 districts of the country, informed Sarita Shrestha, Executive Director of the publication house.

Women rights activists feel that identifying such areas to ensure jobs for women would help fight back gender discrimination challenge.
