Here comes another milestone achievement for Nepal!
For the first time, the Himalayan nation made its entry to the International Linguistic Olympiad (IoL).
A team of four students from GEMS school, led Chandan Gupta, the co-founder of the Himalayan Computational Linguistic Olympiad (HCLO), represented Nepal in the 17th International Linguistic Olympiad organized in Yongin, Korea.
Himal Acharya, Kushal Pathak, Umesh Yadav and Subham Jung Karki got this rare opportunity after winning the National Round of Olympiad.
HCLO has been organizing the national-level linguistic Olympiad since 2017.
The event was held from July 29-August 2, 2019.
