So far, Nepal has reported 402 coronavirus positive cases and two death cases. Meanwhile, 37 patients were discharged after recovery.
The coronavirus pandemic continues to affect the global countries infecting over 5 million people while claiming 325,214 lives. Currently, 2,705,889 patients are undergoing treatment across the world while 1,971,355 patients recovered successfully.
Among the active cases, 2,660,492 patients are in mild condition and 45,397 are in critical condition.
The deadly virus continues to spread across the country, promoting the Nepali Government to step up efforts to protect people from socioeconomic implications.
Lately, the Nepali Government has decided to continue banking services despite nationwide lockdown to relieve people from financial burden.
The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued ‘Bank Service Operation Guideline 2077’ to all the banks to reduce the risk of coronavirus spread while offering banking services.

Meanwhile, the Nepal Investment Bank Limited (NIBL) has already started providing essential banking services from various branches across the country while maintaining health guidelines.
“Face masks, hand sanitizing, temperature scanning and maintaining physical distancing is mandatory for all those entering the premises,” said NIBL.
The NIBL has also provided ‘COVID-19 medical insurance coverage‘ to all its employees to reassure them during the ongoing uncertain situation.
