Surabhi Manandhar Wins Miss Deaf Asia 2017 Crown

Surabhi Manandhar of Nepal has won the title of Miss Deaf Asia 2017, at the Miss and Mister Deaf International 2017 pageant held in Paris, the world’s beauty capital. The annual event is organized to support and empower the people with hearing disabilities. This is Nepal’s first participation in the event, which had twenty contestants vying for the title.

Janak Raj Bhatta, who represented Nepal in the men’s category, made it to the top 5 in the contest.

Surabhi and Janak Raj were both mentored by Hidden Treasures, the organizers of Miss Nepal pageant, in Kathmandu.
