In an exciting update for Nepal, Nepali athlete Ajit Kumar Yadav won gold at the 3rd Asian Youth Athletics Championship 2019, Hong Kong.
This victory brings Nepal its first gold for a 3,000 m race! Yadav completed the race in eight minutes and 32 seconds.
The Nepali athlete beat Indian representative Amit Jangir and Yemeni Gamil al Hamati to secure the first position.

Meanwhile, a total of 18 athletes have been qualified from Province 1 for the fast-approaching 8th National Games.
