National HR Conference Taps Nepal’s HR Potential

Nepal’s premier national body for HR professionals is coming with a new event that aims to tap the Human Resources (HR) potential of the country.

The Human Resources Society Nepal (HRSN) is reportedly organizing the 7^th National HR Conference on August 24, 2018, under the theme ‘Unleash HR for National Development’.

HRN organized similar conferences over the years under different themes such as ‘Managing People during Crisis’, ‘Employee Care for Higher Productivity’ and ‘HR for Tomorrow, Trends & Transformation’.

“The country is going through a tremendous transformation and this conference aims to reflect on how HR solutions can help aid that transformation,” says Mohan Ojha, President of HRSN.

According to Ojha, the conference is aiming to make a policy-level impact on Nepal at the national level.

“In the past, we have had conferences limited to organization and employee benefits but this time we want to take the conference to a national level where we can effect change in policies,” adds Ojha.

“This year, we want to work towards different aspects of HR, specifically at the governmental level,” says Madhu Paudel, Vice-President of HRSN.

Madhu feels that proper implementation of HR policies at the national level would be the best way to drive investment for HR development at the organizational level.

“The annual conference has come a long way since its inception, I hope this year’s hard-hitting theme will propel it to even greater heights,” says Kumar Joshi, former President of the HR Society.

The seventh iteration of the conference will see two international-level keynote speakers, national speakers such as RL Bhatia, a change management specialist.
