Nepal Chamber Expo 2017 Begins

In a move promoting Nepali industry, the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) is organizing an industry expo titled ‘Nepal Chamber Expo 2017’ in Kathmandu during November 30- December 04, 2017.

 “NCC is a platform where small and large-sclae Nepali industries can promote their goods among a wide range of domestic and foreign stakeholders,” said NCC President Rajesh Kazi Shrestha at a pre-event press conference.

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari is inaugurating this five-day event amid an opening ceremony at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall, informed NCC.

 

The expo is expecting around 300,000 visitors this year and is focused on promoting Nepali goods for a competitive edge.

The expo will be featuring stalls of different countries including Thailand, South Korea, China, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Japan, which will be promoting the products of both the foreign and domestic brands.

Of the total 225 stalls that promote various goods and services, Korean businesses alone have booked 23 stalls and businesses from Thailand have 15 stalls.

While the Ministry of Commerce and the Trade and Export Promotion Centre of Nepal are coordinating, the Government of South Korea is partnering the event.
