Popular Indian filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee is planning to extensively shoot his new Hindi film “Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar” in Nepal. The filming of the movie is expected to begin in November after receiving the required approvals from the concerned authorities.
The movie, a dramatic thriller being made under the aegis of Yash Raj Films, has Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra portraying the lead roles. The two stars had earlier worked together five years back in the popular movie “Ishaqzaade”.
According to reports from India, the production house has sought the permission of the Nepal Government to shoot at a beautiful location called Jhulaghat.
The movie plot revolves around a couple Sandeep and Pinky, played by Kapoor and Chopra respectively, who run away to Nepal after getting married. Hence, the title of the movie, which translates to “Sandeep and Pinky Elope”.
Talking about the movie, Kapoor said, “Dibakar Banerjee is a name synonymous with being the torchbearer of evolving new age cinema that engages and entertains. I can’t wait to work under his tutelage and vision.”
Echoing his statement, Chopra added, “”After Ishaqzaade, Arjun and I used to dream about working with Dibakar one day! His films are so different and always make an impact. I am so ready to bite my teeth into this character and give the audience something intense!”
