With the indefinite nationwide lockdown imposed by the Nepali Government to minimize the spread of coronavirus, the citizens are facing financial issues as they are restrained from visiting banks.

Especially, the Nepali migrant workers residing across the world are facing hardships to conduct money transactions with their families in Nepal.

In the need of the hour, the NIC ASIA Bank, WorldRemit and OrbitRemit have come together to aid the customers facilitating them to send and receive money from more than 50 countries through online services.


The online transaction facility is available with any bank service. And, the remittance sender and receiver are now not required to visit physical banks.

The customers can login to and to transact the money.

Meanwhile, the NIC Asia Bank has deployed ‘Customer help desk’ in all seven Provinces amid this uncertain situation to provide 24 hours banking services to its customers across the country.

So far, Nepal has reported only nine coronavirus positive cases. However, the government has extended the nationwide lockdown until April 15, 2020 as the country has entered the second stage of coronavirus transmission.

As of now, the coronavirus has spread to 209 countries and territories around the world and has infected 1,523,304 people while claiming 88,846 lives.
