Organizations and individuals are increasingly relying on virtual platforms to restart the stalled life due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Businesses, educational institutes, offices, and entertainment sectors, among others, are going digital.
Lately, the organizers of the ‘Miss Universe Nepal 2020’ announced that the beauty pageant would be held virtually, making it an all in-app pageant.
In cooperation with CG Corp Global, Ma Nepali, an organization founded by Miss Nepal Universe 2017 Nagma Shrestha, is the new franchisee of the Miss Universe Organisation in Nepal.
During a digital press conference on June 11, Shrestha informed that Ma Nepali is set to organize the first-ever all in-app beauty pageant to ensure the safety of participants and fans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new approach will also enable Nepali youth to participate in the Miss Universe Nepal pageant irrespective of their location or economic conditions.
She informed that the ‘Miss Universe Nepal 2020 App’ is being developed and will be available in the Google play store from mid-July.
All the interested Nepalis can register and participate in the pageant through the app. The organizers will select the contestants through the app and give online training for the top contestants.
As per Shrestha, the grand finale of the pageant will also be live-streamed.
“This announcement could not have come at a better moment as we look up to the beautiful women of Nepal to guide the nation with compassion through these challenging times,” expressed Rahul Chaudhary, MD, and CEO of CG Corp Global.
He further added that the organizers are bringing the global Miss Universe event to Nepal in the coming days.
