The failure in the previous Miss Nepal beauty pageant did not stop the beauty queen from competing in the 2021 edition of the Miss Universe Nepal.

This is the second time Basnet competed in the Miss Universe Nepal competition. However, this time she did not come home empty handed.

The glamour queen won the prestigious crown of Oriflame Miss Universe Nepal 2021.

Exiting the 2020 Miss Universe Nepal pageant as first runner up, Basnet bounced back with a bang.

This year, she improved her position and won title award along with cash prize of NPR 10 lakh.

With the prestigious crown on her crown, she would be representing the Himalayan nation at the 70th edition of Miss Universe 2021.

The international beauty pageant is being held on December 12, 2021 in Eilat, Israel.

The beauty pageant organizers Umang Creation announced all the participants in a program at Yak and Yeti Hotel at Durbar Marg on Thursday night. The program featured famous personalities from fashion industry, audience, and media personnel.

In the program, all the 16 contestants introduced themselves and their life ambition during a ramp walk on the red carpet.

The beauty contestants also presented a short video on subjects like women empowerment, child education, mental health, sex education, menstruation, suicide, and assault.

Ten contestants will be selected from these 16, based on 50 percent marks from their video and the remaining 50 percent from the voting through an IME app.

The top-10 will participate in various rounds to win the prestigious crown. The grand coronation will be held on October 30, 2021.

The ‘Miss Universe Nepal 2021’ title winner will represent Nepal at the ‘Miss Universe 2021’ pageant to be held in Israel on December 12, 2021.

The official franchise of Miss Grand International at Nepal, Bolly Club Group- Nepal has officially confirmed that Amatya is competing at the upcoming international beauty pageant.

The 2021 edition of the Miss Grand International pageant is scheduled to take place from November 16 to December 5, 2021 in Thailand.

The grand coronation event will be showcased at the beautiful and exotic city Phuket, Thailand on December 4, 2021.

Before Amatya, models Nisha Pathak and Ambika Joshi Rana represented Nepal at the Miss Grand Int’l pageant in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

Amatya entered the fashion world in the year 2016 by winning the title award of Model Hunt Nepal 2016.

The 25-year-old model and yoga instructor then successfully represented the nation at Miss Eco International 2017 held in Egypt. She won the Miss Congeniality Title.

The glamour queen also won Miss Nepal International 2018 and represented the country at the 58th edition of Miss International beauty pageant at Tokyo.

Nepal’s popular beauty pageant organizer Ribbon Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has officially announced the international franchised event Mrs. Nepal World 2021. All the aspiring Nepali married women can register and take part in the competition.

During the official announcement, the Ribbon Entertainment team has informed that the latest edition of the Mrs. Nepal International has been improvised to Mrs. Nepal World.

The top three winners of the Mrs. Nepal World would be crowned as Mrs. Nepal World, Mrs. Nepal International, and Ms. Nepal International.

The winner of the Mrs. Nepal World 2021 title would represent the Himalayan nation at the Mrs. World 2022 pageant.

Likewise, Mrs. Nepal International 2021 and Ms. Nepal International 2021 title winners would represent Nepal at its international versions being organized in Singapore.

She became the first Nepali in Europe to be selected as the dress designer for Top-10 finalists of Miss Grand Belgium 2021, the most popular beauty pageant in Belgium.

In the grand finale of the beauty pageant held in Lint city of Belgium, the Top-10 finalists participated in catwalk showcasing the dresses designed by Arati.

“It was a matter of pride not only for our family and community but for the entire country,” said Arati’s spouse Arjun Kafley.

“Arati got an opportunity to demonstrate her skills in such a popular contest in the European country,” he added.

The 2021 edition of Miss Grand Belgium was organized on September 18, 2021.

Beauty queen Zomkey Tenzin has bagged the coveted crown. The 20-year-old model was born in Tibetan refugee camp in India and migrated to Flemish Brabant, Belgium later.

The 2021 edition of Miss Nepal US pageant is scheduled for September 23-25, 2021, at New York, USA. The grand finale of the beauty pageant will be held on September 25, 2021.

The international beauty pageant, initiated by Nepal-American social entrepreneur Amit Shah, has become a platform to showcase Nepali cultural heritage.

It aims to empower Nepali youth to embrace their beauty with pride and dignity in the United States of America.

The event will feature popular media personality, television host and trainer Malvika Subba as the official mentor/trainer.

Miss Nepal Universe 2017 Nagma Shrestha would be the official choreographer for the beauty pageant.

Likewise, Miss Universe Nepal 2020 Anshika Sharma would be the grooming coach and renowned fashion designer Bishwo Gautam would be the official fashion designer at the event.

Nation’s leading beauty pageant organizer RK Entertainment Group Pvt. Ltd. has officially announced the audition dates for Miss Grand Nepal 2021.

In the press meet at Hotel Nepalaya, Thamel, organization’s head Lucky Ram K.C. announced Bhadra 15, 2078 as the deadline for the registration to participate in the competition.

According to Ram, the auditions will be held from Shrawan 20 to Bhadra 11, 2078 in the regions,  Nepalgunj, Chitwan, Butwal, Birgunj, Pokhara, Dharan and Jhapa.

Whereas the auditions in Kathmandu and the grand finale are scheduled on Bhadra 20, 2078.

According to the organizing team, Miss Grand Nepal 2021 event finalizes five winners, who will be representing Nepal at five different international beauty pageants.

The 12^th edition of the international beauty pageant is being held in Poland, with the grand finale on August 21, 2021, in Strzelecki Park Amphitheater.

Shimal from Nepal will be competing with other sixty international beauties for the coveted title of Miss Supranational 2021.

The 24-years-old Shimal has been crowned as ‘Miss Supranational 2020’ at the grand finale of Miss Nepal 2020 hosted at Kathmandu on December 5, 2020.

The Kathmandu-based model has graduated from the Kathmandu University of Management and aspires to be an entrepreneur.

This is the third participation from the Himalayan nation at Miss Supranational. Mahima Singh in 2018 and Rose Lama in 2019 represented Nepal at the international event.

Earlier, the edition of the event was scheduled at the end of 2020 but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Miss Supranational 2021 is scheduled for August 21, 2021,” announced Gerhard Parzutka von Lipinski, the President of Miss and Mister Supranational.

The 23-years old model bagged the ‘Miss Nepal World 2020‘ title by beating 19 other finalists at the 25^th edition of the Miss Nepal beauty pageant organized by The Hidden Treasure (THT) in Kathmandu. Namrata was crowned by her predecessor Miss Nepal World 2019 Anushka Shrestha. She will now represent Nepal at the ‘Miss World 2021’ beauty pageant to be held in China.

Along with the Miss Nepal World title, Namrata bagged two other subtitles, namely ‘Brij Cement Miss Confident 2020’ and ‘The Kathmandu Post Miss Intellectual 2020’. She also won a cash prize of NPR 250,000 and a brand-new Yamaha Fascino Scooter.

This is the second attempt for Namrata in Miss Nepal Pageant. In 2016, she stood among the Top-5 finalists of Miss Nepal 2016. The Kathmandu-based model is a certified Kindergarten teacher and aspires to become an impactful educator.

“I am a person driven by passion having an attitude of gratitude, and is an avid learner. I am an ordinary girl with an extraordinary dream,” said Namrata.

Miss Nepal Earth 2020 – Supriya Shrestha

24-years old Supriya Shrestha won the ‘Miss Nepal Earth 2020’ title and was crowned by Miss Nepal Earth 2019 Riya Basnet. The Kathmandu-based model stood as the first runner-up in the Miss Nepal 2020 beauty pageant. She was awarded a cash prize worth NPR 250,000.

Miss Nepal International 2020 – Sandhya Sharma

Beauty queen Sandhya Sharman from Mahottari bagged the title of ‘Miss Nepal International 2020’ and was crowned by Miss Nepal International 2019 Meera Kakshapati. She also won subtitles, including IME Pay Beauty with a Purpose, Livon Life Miss Popular Choice, and Ruslan Women of Substance. She won a cash prize of NPR 250,000.

Miss Nepal Supranational 2020 – Shimal Kanaujiya

Shimal Kanaujiya won the ‘Miss Nepal Supranational 2020’ award and was crowned by the Chief Judge of the pageant Meekha Mathema. The 24-years old model hails from Kathmandu. Shimal bagged a cash prize worth NPR 250,000.
