]]>The 44th Academic Assembly Meeting at PM’s official residence in Baluwatar selected Dr. Regmi for his contribution to the development of the microfluidic system that helps in the removal of tumor cells and prevents metastasis.
Dr. Regmi has been researching at the Tribhuvan University’s Research Center for Applied Science and Technology (RECAST).

]]>According to the organizers, public voting is being conducted for the top five selected in 4 different categories under the ICT Award.
Earlier, a 14-member jury selected the best five in four categories, including the Startup ICT Award, Product ICT Award, Innovation Driven Crisis Response ICT Award, and Rising Student ICT Award 2020.
The jury selected the top five through a virtual program on October 20.
The Details are as follows:
This year, the ICT Awards received over 350 online nominations in 11 different categories, and the selection process was started two months ago.
According to the organizers, the grand finale of the ICT Awards 2020 will be conducted on the 21st of Mangshir. The finale will be broadcasted live on various television channels and online platforms.
The ICT Awards 2020 organized by Living with ICT is being supported by Nepal Telecommunication Authority, Genus Solutions, NAST, NITC, Phone Pay, E-Sewa, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Dish Home, Technorio, Eminence Wage, and Ideazar.
This is the fifth edition of the ‘ICT Award 2020’ which is initiated with an aim to honor experts and talents in Information Technology (IT) sectors in Nepal. It is considered as the biggest tech award of Nepal.
The public can cast their votes for their favorite contested among the top 5 for four different categories through e-Sewa, Email, or SMS.
However, you can only cast one vote a day on all the platforms. You can cast your vote till the 15th of Mangier. For further details, reach out to the website ictaward.org/vote.

]]>The Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today emphasized on the need for establishment of an international level science research laboratory in Nepal.
Lauding the efforts of human resources (produced in Nepal) in international laboratories, Deuba said the government would strive to establish one such laboratory in the country.
“Whatever the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) is doing with resources and personnel at its disposal are satisfactory. But, we have a long way to go in this regard,” Deuba said in his address at the 40th Academic Assembly of NAST in Kathmandu, today.
Deuba, who is also the Chancellor of NAST, further called on NAST to play a key role in Nepal’s holistic development through improvements in science and technology.
PM also stressed on the need for development of medicines through a research on medicinal herbs that are available in the country.
