]]>This young writer has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Madan Puraskar 2075’ for her work at fiction titled ‘Yogmaya’.
The Madan Puraskar Guthi held a meeting on August 28, 2018 and decided to award Karki for her phenomenal work.
The society issued a statement on August 28, 2018 stating that the Yogmaya was selected among the books published in 2074.
Yogmaya was among the eight books that were shortlisted for the Madan Puraskar. This makes Nilam the fourth woman to bag the prestigious award after Parijat, Jhamak Kumari, Ghimire, and Radha Paudel in the last six decades.
Meanwhile, Shanta Das Manandhar also won the Jagadamba Shree Puraskar 2074. Manandhar has been contributing to the development, expansion, and promotion of child literature in Nepal since the last five decades.
