Lamsal agreed with the proposal and went on to add that there were bright opportunities of establishing joint-ventures with Sialkot-Pakistan business community in various trade fields. Nepali companies have been showing keen interest for the same.
Pakistan Surgical Industry Leader Muhammad Jehangir Bajwa and SIMAP Chairman Khalilur Rehman Mughal represented Pakistan at the meeting.
Bajwa pointed that Sialkot exporters have a great potential to explore and tap international Nepali markets by exporting world-class traditional and non-traditional export products.
However, the disadvantage was that there was no direct link between both countries’ communities.
Rehman said that Nepal should focus on purchasing these surgical products directly from Pakistan instead of spending a huge purchase amount in European markets. Countries like these buy surgical products from Pakistan for re-sale.
