Nepal representatives put up a Nepal Pavilion, which was termed ‘Impressive’. The beautifully-designed Nepal Pavilion resembled a Nepal Pagoda and was furnished with diverse natural, cultural and adventurous tourism assets. It’s a unique presentation won appreciation from all the visitors.

The pavilion was dedicated to the promotion of popular Nepal tourism campaign-‘Visit Nepal 2020’.

A group of 10 different Nepal private sector, entrepreneur-run tourism companies including Abhiwadan Expedition Holidays and Community Homestay Network were part of the Nepal Pavilion, which showcased the best of Nepal tourism.

Opportunities for Nepali Youth Tourism Professionals
In a special initiative, PATA also invited 210 local and international young tourism professionals including PATA Student Chapter members including Nepal, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Philippines, Canada, and Singapore.

The event also presented a golden opportunity for two students Ms. Tamanna Pradhan from IST College and Jigmay Singhay Lama from Mid Valley Int’l College,  who represented PATA Nepal Student Chapter at the PATA Youth Symposium.

PATA Nepal Chapter Awarded:
PATA Nepal Chapter was conferred with PATA Next Gen. Engagement Award for the second time, which honored the association’s efforts and engagement towards Nepal’s NextGen tourism industry.

PATA Nepal Chapter General Secretary Bibhuti Chand Thakur received the award on September 15, 2018. He was grateful to all the Nepal’s young tourism professionals who were dedicated to PATA’ mission of ‘sustainable tourism development’.

About PTM2018
PTM2018 witnessed the participation of 1,400 delegates from 70 global destinations. The delegates were welcomed by 389 sellers from 208 organizations and 33 destinations.

Visitors gained insights on topics like product development, machine learning, data analytics and artificial intelligence at the Travolution Asia Forum 2018, during PTM2018.

Speaking about PTM2018, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) CEO Deepak Raj Joshi said, “We are very happy to receive the increasing interest for destination Nepal by the world tourism communities, and our collaborative efforts and engagement with the private sector is also being very strong and effective for the promotion of tourism.”

During the event, NTB Sr. Manager Sunil Sharma presented the unique features of Nepal tourism in a media briefing held on September 13.
