The recently held Eminent Persons\u2019 Group meeting on Nepal-India<\/a> Relations recommends incorporation of \u201csmart borders\u201d to limit cross-border movements only through \u2018designated-points\u2019.<\/p>\n This move comes as a measure to check infiltration, curb criminal activities and maintain records of people crossing either side of the body.<\/p>\n Additionally, Nepali officials reveal that the panel of experts also recommends issuance of electronic ID cards alongside incorporating specific entry points.<\/p>\n The Next Steps:
