Nepal has improved in logistics performance development, said a recently-released World Bank (WB) report.<\/p>\n
WB\u2019s Logistic Performance Indicator (LPI) 2018 report placed Nepal at the 114th<\/sup> position showing a 10-point improvement over the earlier ranking in 2016 that saw the country at 124th<\/sup> position.<\/p>\n In its survey that covered 167 countries, the World Bank reported Nepal\u2019s improvement in key logistic metrics: Customs, Infrastructure, International Shipments, Logistics Competence, Tracking & Tracing and Timeliness.<\/p>\n Now, Nepal\u2019s LPI score stands at 2.51 over 2.38 in 2016 with major improvement seen in all the aforementioned metrics.<\/p>\n Of all, the country has shown a major progress in customs procedures from 1.93 in 2016 to 2.29 in 2018.<\/p>\n The report also noted increase in logistics competence of the country in 2018 over the previous years, measured at 2.46 in 2018 over 2.13 in 2016.<\/p>\n
