Riding on success track of 2017, Nepal left its special mark in another global competition held at the start of the New Year 2018.<\/p>\n
Nepal won 57 golds, 42 silvers and 52 bronze medals at the International Open Friendship Taekwondo Championship<\/a> played at the Covered Hall of Itahari Stadium, Nepal on January 03, 2018.<\/p>\n This tournament, organized with international regulations, has witnessed participants from around 12 countries.<\/p>\n The United States stood in the second position (with four golds, three silvers and a bronze) followed by Bangladesh in the third (with four golds, two silvers, and three bronze medals), among others.<\/p>\n While Indian player Abhishek Yadav was declared the best men\u2019s player of the tournament, Nepal\u2019s Dikshya Thakuri won the best women\u2019s player title, and each of them received a cash prize of Rs 50,000.<\/p>\n
