Nepal and Oman discussed bilateral ties and cooperation across various sectors at a meeting held in Oman on December 25, 2017.<\/p>\n
In a meeting with the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of Oman Ahmed Hassan Al-Dheeb, Nepali Ambassador to Oman<\/a> Sarmila Parajuli Dhakal briefed about all the latest developments in Nepal across various fields.<\/p>\n According to a press release, Dhakal explained that Nepal is on path towards economic development through industrialization.<\/p>\n Dhakal also informed Nepal\u2019s move towards policy reforms related to foreign investment, Public-Private Partnership (PPP), industrial enterprises, economy, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), labor<\/a>, mining, Intellectual Property (IP), banking, FDI provisions and repatriation of industry and commerce and capital to encourage foreign capital and technological investment.<\/p>\n He further highlighted Nepal\u2019s advantage of having duty-free market access in the EU and American markets for almost 66 Nepali products.<\/p>\n In response, Al-Dheeb expressed Oman\u2019s willingness to collaborate with Nepal in various sectors related to industry and commerce.<\/p>\n Both the sides also discussed export-oriented industries in Nepal. The Omani official welcomed Nepali businesspersons to bring Nepali products to Oman.<\/p>\n In this regard, he also expressed his readiness for organizing a Oman-Nepal business conference to set up business interactions between Omani buyers and Nepali exporters and businessmen.<\/p>\n The two sides also discussed investment in various agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing and hydropower sectors of Nepal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Nepal and Oman discussed bilateral ties and cooperation across various sectors at a meeting held in…<\/span><\/p>\n
