August 31, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n At the Nepal-India Boundary Working Group (BWG) meeting in Dehradun, India on Wednesday, the two countries have agreed to resume the boundary field works from November 1 this year, targeting the completion of the remainder of the work within the next five years.<\/p>\n Director General of the Department of Survey, Ganesh Prasad Bhatta headed the Nepali delegation at the meeting, while the Indian side was led by Maj Gen VP Srivastava, Surveyor General of India.<\/p>\n According to the agreement, four teams each from both sides will be assigned specific tasks that include conducting inspection along the border, keeping a record of the pillars, reconstructing the missing or damaged pillars, clearing the no-man\u2019s land, handling cross-holding issues, studying the GPS with 182 maps and coordinating the boundary and the border pillars numbering over 6000, in an effort to expedite the activity.<\/p>\n The Boundary Working Group, which was formed subsequent to the visit of India\u2019s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in July 2014, will meet again in Kathmandu in 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" August 31, 2017 At the Nepal-India Boundary Working Group (BWG) meeting in Dehradun, India on Wednesday,…<\/span><\/p>\n
