August 29, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n Indigenous film Lomba (The Leadership), written and directed by Anil Budha Magar, has won awards in three categories at the ongoing Nepali Indigenous Film Festival in New York. While the film was nominated in six categories, it won the Best Film, Best Director and Best Costume awards along with a cash prize of Rs 100,000.<\/p>\n According to Magar, the movie is set in the Himalayas with the story revolving around a shepherd\u2019s grueling task of selecting and training a \u2018leader\u2019 sheep or Lomba, for leading the herd from one place to another.<\/p>\n Janak Budhamagar, Maitya Gharti Magar and Dhana Rupi Budhamagar play the lead roles in the movie, which is director Magar\u2019s third feature film following Gaaula Gothalo and Tukreko Mutu.<\/p>\n Seven feature films including Helukbu (Limbu), Krisha Gautami (Newar), Mairimo (Gurung), and 24 short films are being screened during the film festival.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" August 29, 2017 Indigenous film Lomba (The Leadership), written and directed by Anil Budha Magar, has…<\/span><\/p>\n
