As part of his five-day bilateral visit to India, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba participated in the Nepal-India Business Forum held at the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi today.<\/p>\n
In his address at the meet, Deuba called on the business community of both the countries to work together for achieving prosperity. \u00a0\u201cWe are ready to gather pace, and we warmly invite you to engage with us,\u201d said Deuba.<\/p>\n
As part of the efforts to attract foreign investment, Deuba said the Government of Nepal would focus on credible and irreversible reforms, relax-binding constraints in infrastructure to create a level playing field through institutional reforms.<\/p>\n
He informed that Nepal is actively pursuing new processes and institutions to attract large-scale investment.<\/p>\n
Deuba also highlighted the recent reforms undertaken by the Nepal Government, which include enactment of laws and policies on foreign investment, public-private partnership, special economic zones, industrial enterprises, labor, mining, banking and intellectual property.<\/p>\n
\u201cNepal is an attractive platform for export-oriented investments in products with a high value-to-weight ratio,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Stating that Nepal and India have large youth population, Deuba said, \u201cIn interest of our youth, my talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will emphasize a forward-looking development agenda that is defined by collaboration on projects that can inspire our societies and transform our economies in the 21st<\/sup> Century.\u201d<\/p>\n Prime Ministers of both the countries and their associated officials are participating in a bilateral meet today, where a wide range of issues related to Indo-Nepal ties are likely to be discussed.<\/p>\n On his first-day visit, Deuba also met Nepali organizations in India, where different Nepali groups affiliated to various political parties raised the issues they are facing in India.<\/p>\n In response, he called on Nepalese to work in collaboration with Indians and act as honorary ambassadors to strengthen Indo-Nepal ties.<\/p>\n During the meet, Nepalese urged Deuba to take necessary measures to tackle various criminal activities including trafficking, among others, open bank accounts in India for Nepalese working in India and also address the challenges being faced by Nepali nursing students and Chartered Accountancy students in various Indian colleges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" As part of his five-day bilateral visit to India, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba participated in…<\/span><\/p>\nNepalese in India Voice their Concerns<\/h4>\n
