Dr Govinda KC<\/a>\u2019s demands for reforms in the country\u2019s medical education sector.<\/p>\nFormer Chief Justice Sushila Karki, medical students, doctors are among others who joined the rally that went on from Maitighar Mandala till New Baneshwor.<\/p>\n
In her address to the mass, Sushila Karki called on the public to extend their moral support to the agitating Dr Govinda and urged the government to address his demands soon.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Nepal Medical Association (NMA) warned that it would move on for a stern protest if the government makes further delays in addressing Govinda\u2019s demands. NMA also decided to form a committee to pressurize the government in this regard.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe government should not dismiss his fight saying that it is repeated every now and then. This fight is ours and we will support him wholeheartedly. Dr Govinda’s fight is to develop a better system in medical education and universities,\u201d said former NMA President Dr Anjani Kumar Jha.<\/p>\n
Dr Govinda has been on his 11th<\/sup> hunger strike at TUTH since the past 13 days.
