Nepali swimmer Alex Shah has opened a new chapter in the Nepali swimming arena by creating a new national record in 100 meters freestyle (male) at Olympics 2020, taking place in Tokyo.<\/p>\n
Alex beat his record by covering a 100-meter distance in 53.41 seconds on Tuesday at the Olympics. In his previous record, he swam the same distance in 55.38 seconds.<\/p>\n
Alex displayed his mettle in hit 1. A total of nine hits were scheduled on Tuesday. In the semi-final, about 16 swimmers will battle it out.<\/p>\n

However, despite his brilliant performance, Alex was outgunned by the other swimmers of the other hit rounds. Due to this aspect, Alex\u2019s chances of heading to the semi-final are now moot.<\/p>\n
