The health ministry has stated that Nepal\u2019s total COVID-19 tally has hit 709,437 on Thursday. In addition, the ministry reported 2,676 new cases arose in the Himalayan nation in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n
A total of 8,246 swab samples were collected and were tested for the virus using the RT-PCR method. From these, 1,782 samples turned out to be positive. Additionally, 4,512 people were tested for the virus using antigen testing, and 894 tested COVID-19 positive.<\/p>\n
With RT-PCR and antigen testing data factored in, the viral positivity rate of Nepal stands at 20.95 percent.<\/p>\n
Currently, Nepal has 26,639 active COVID-19 cases<\/a>. From these cases, 2,614 people are recovering in a hospital while 602 are battling the virus in ICU and 171 are clinging onto their lives on ventilators.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fortunately, 1,757 people have recovered from the virus. However, 33 people have lost their lives due to this contagion in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n So far, 626,468 Nepalis have recovered from their viral infections.
