According to the Financial Comptroller General Office (FCGO), the Government of Nepal is yet to receive the reimbursement of Rs 42.65 billion from various donor agencies, for the amount spent by the government in the fiscal year 2016-17 on different projects. In the previous fiscal year, the government was reimbursed an amount of Rs 48 billion.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a program organized by FCGO, Financial Comptroller General Rajendra Prasad Nepal said that the delay in the reimbursement process has been caused by the corresponding delay in the submission of the project reports to the line ministries and the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n

The Financial Comptroller mentioned that FCGO, which is being restructured this fiscal year as per the provincial format, will install a system for real time access of revenue related data. He also stated that, \u201cPreviously, we only managed the real-time data of government expenditure, but by this fiscal it will be possible to get data of revenue collection too.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
