Nepal’s COVID-19 cases<\/a> climbed to 23,310, with 338 new infection cases reported in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 8,432 tests were conducted across the country yesterday, among which 338 came out to be positive for coronavirus infection.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, a total of 140 patients were discharged from hospitals across the country, taking the total recoveries to 16,493. As of today, the recovery rate in Nepal stands at 70.7%.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Speaking at a regular press briefing on August 10, MoHP Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam informed that five people have succumbed to coronavirus. Urges Elderly and Children to \u2018Stay At Home\u2019!<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n The deaths are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n Currently, there are 6,738 active COVID-19 cases in the country.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n With the resurgence of cases after the lockdown was lifted in the country, the Nepali Government has decided to suspend flight and long-distance transportation services until August 31.<\/p>\n The decision came in response to the recommendations made by the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC).<\/p>\n Earlier on Sunday, the CCMC recommended the government not to immediately resume flight and long-distance public transportation services that were supposed to resume from August 17.<\/p>\n\n
